Pastor (his actual name) is from Mexico & he, along with family have been here legally for almost 30 years. He started out waiting tables at a local Mexican restaurant here & worked his way up to chef & now owns not only his own restaurant here but this coffee shop as well. He has come so far & the community here are very proud of him & we all adore not only him but his family & their work. Pastor’s Kitchen & Pastor himself as chef have won many awards on local & state levels & to know him, you would never think it because he’s so genuine & just himself. He loves working & helping others & is quite taken aback by the recognition that he gets. The church that they attend here goes on mission trips to 3rd world countries & help out in alot of ways. Pastor & his family have made those trips themselves & continue to annually. The “mission merch” that you see in his coffee shop are from villages that he & his family are very close to & have spent many years watching them grow & helping the villages by getting their handmade goods to others. His coffee beans & tea are from his family owned plantations in Mexico . Thank you Wykoffs again for sharing our local mom & pop shops here & especially those that are so near & dear. I can’t wait to share this with Pastor & his family.
